He has ruled out a fourth movie with his wise-cracking character Axel Foley.
But Eddie, 51, has teamed up with Sony Pictures TV to sell the comedy drama.
He said: “What I’m trying to do is produce a TV show starring Foley’s son,
with Axel the chief of police in Detroit.
“None of the movie scripts were right. It was always a rehash of the old thing
— it was always wrong.”
The three films — released in 1984, 1987 and 1994 — raked in more than
£1billion.
