Soaked ... awkward driving conditions

BRITAIN was battered by storms yesterday as forecasters warned of a bank holiday washout.
Torrential rain caused accidents and tailbacks on major roads.Festivals at Reading and Leeds were turned into mud baths. The Premier League match between Sunderland and Reading was called off less than two hours before kick off due to a waterlogged pitch.
An empty home in Windlesham, Surrey, was set ablaze after being hit by lightning.
